When you colonials protest against politically incompetent, corrupt and globally recognised liars such as Morrison et al … as you have done against a mere tennis player … you might achieve some sort of acceptable social recognition, consideration and behaviour … just saying!

Johnny Russell, Cairns North

Interesting to see the Morrison LNP government department known as “border force” led by Peter Dutton that opened the gates for Covid-infected cruise ship passengers to disembark now playing politics with a tennis player.

Local Citizen, Cairns

The unvaxxed are a persecuted minority. Change my mind.

Steve, Bungalow

The President of France has said the unvaxxed aren’t people and he wants to “piss them off”. I take it he’s been watching Australian politicians.

Owen, Edge Hill

Kaz, Stratford

Driving Instructor, Edmonton

Jim, Bayview

Kerry, Westcourt

Holly, Aeroglen

Cairns gets a top temp of 39C or above most summers. As barefoot Cairns kids we used to proudly show off the bitumen that had melted on to our leathery feet. Is the panic about heat due to the abundance of airconditioning now? Are people now too soft to cope with Aussie normal?

Boogie Boarder, Cairns

As a young person I voted Labor. As a middle-aged person I voted Liberal. Neither will ever get my vote again.

Doris, Westcourt

The best thing for Novak Djokovic to do would be to go home because if he stays and plays the Australian Open he would be booed and jeered mercilessly.
