PARTY FUNDS ENSURES IT’S PLAIN SAILING

-

ON behalf of everybody at Sailability Cairns, I would like to thank everyone who helped make the Barbary Coasters 30th anniversary Parrot Head Party at Cairns Cruising Yacht Squadron such a success on Sunday.

Apart from being a fabulously fun afternoon, it was also a very successful fundraiser for Sailability Cairns, with over $1500 raised.

This helps us to share the joy of sailing, twice a week, absolutely free of charge, with people living with all types and levels of disability in Cairns.

I’d like to thank The Barbary Coasters, all of the beautiful community-minded people at Cairns Cruising Yacht Squadron, and all the people who made donations and bought raffle tickets to win fantastic prizes provided by local businesses. Sailability exists because of the generosity of our supporters, the community, and our volunteers.

We run a fleet of nine sailing boats and two support boats at CCYS to provide our free service.

If you’d like to be involved as a volunteer (which is fun and rewarding), as a participant, or as a carer looking for an awesome activity for your clients, please check out and contact us through our Sailability Cairns Facebook page.
