BJ (CP, 3/5) thinks the reason for the lower number of applications to attend tertiary courses by students from North Queensland is because they’ve been brainwashed about climate change.

He should re-read the article. Educators put the reason down to the pandemic.

It’s interesting to note, however, that there has “been strong demand for JCU’s Bachelor of Marine Science degree”, evidence that young North Queenslanders love their Reef and want to make a difference.
