COVID COMES FOR DOCKERS

- BRADEN QUARTERMAINE

FREMANTLE coach Justin Longmuir believes the euphoria of the club’s upset win in Geelong may have contributed to the Dockers’ biggest Covid outbreak, with six players from the team ruled out of Friday night’s clash with North Melbourne.

Lloyd Meek, Michael Frederick and Griffin Logue have joined Rory Lobb, Blake Acres and Travis Colyer in isolation after testing positive to Covid.

Fremantle have told top-10 draft pick Jye Amiss he will make his debut.

Ruckman Sean Darcy, defenders Heath Chapman and Hayden Young and forward Bailey Banfield are set to be other inclusions in the Dockers line-up.

“I would be guessing. But after a good win, you tend to get a bit more touchy-feely and closer and sing the song together,” Longmuir said.
