TIRED OF THE REPORTS

IF a report has been carried out into the incessant road closures, crashes and endless delays (CP, 9/05) on the Kuranda Range Rd, why on earth have Warren Entsch and Bryce Macdonald of the LNP suddenly woken up to the fact that this Kuranda Range Rd needed fixing many years ago?

This $11m “business and evaluation study” of the road is a con job, it’s dead money. Mr Entsch, how many more “evaluations studies” do you want?

What happens if the report comes back negative? Does that mean under your government there’ll be no improvements? Now, under an incoming Labor government, which has already put forward $210m, you will see the real importance of that road come into focus.

It will take the incoming Labor government to get the ball rolling and do the heavy lifting, as usual.

Mr Entsch has had nearly a decade in office, plenty of time and opportunity to make and carry out these much needed public works but, like his party and his boss in Canberra, he has failed and failed badly.
