POSTECOGLOU IN RARE AIR
CELTIC’S resurrection under Ange Postecoglou is complete.
Having been on the brink of the Scottish Premiership for several weeks, the Hoops finally sealed the title on Thursday morning (AEDT) with a 1-1 away draw with Dundee United.
With one round of the premiership season remaining, Celtic has an unassailable four-point lead at the top of the table over arch-rivals Rangers. An emotional Postecoglou said “for the first time this year I’m lost for words” as he soaked up the enormity of his side’s achievement.
“Just an enormous effort — really proud of the players, staff, our supporters, everyone involved,” he added.
Postecoglou was hired by Celtic in June last year soon after finishing a massive 25 points behind Rangers in the 2020-21 race.
