WORST ROAD TRIP, EVER

NORTHERN Pride’s disastrous road trip to Tugun might just be the worst return in the club’s proud history.

It is the first time since the Hastings Deering Colts were introduced that both teams were kept scoreless on the same day, falling by a combined 94-0. It was the fifth time the Hostplus Cup side was kept scoreless since 2008, and first since round 10, 2019, when Burleigh won 43-0.

It was also only the second time the Pride was scoreless in an away game. The other was a 64-0 thrashing at Sunshine Coast in 2010, which sparked an unlikely premiership run.
