KNIGHT MAKES BUTLAND CASE

CENTRALS star Brooke Knight demonstrated why she should be in the Jo Butland medal conversation in her team’s victory over North Cairns in round 5.

Knight made impact plays for her team everywhere in the 12-point win, including an amazing goal through multiple defenders to seal the win.

“We knew we were pretty evenly matched with the Tigers … they came out firing and made us work for it, we just knew we had to leave everything out on the park if we were to come out on top,” Knight said after the game.

“Usually when I do decent runs, I shank the kick and it goes out on the full or something.

“There was a lot of head noise, but it went through thank god by a centimetre.”
