AEC calls for more staff

THE AEC is calling for workers to staff polling booths in FNQ electorates, including Kennedy and Leichhardt, while warning voters recruitment difficulties may lead to a relatively small number of planned polling places being unable to open on election day.

Australian Electoral Commissioner Tom Rogers said unless they could recruit workers, voters may not have a polling venue in their town on election day.
