MILLAA MILLAA

Heck, monthly medal, which is of course sponsored by our friends at Mungalli Dairy Products and the Millaa Millaa Hotel, seemed to come around quickly, but, Sunday the 2nd and here it is again.

David Welch threw down the gauntlet last week and this stirred up the guns, we had three visitors in the 28 players and they were, John White, Ian Schultz and Dave Morrison from Atherton. We haven’t seen Graham Suffield for quite some time but the break didn’t do him any harm as he was first past the post with a very impressive nett score of 66, good game after a long lay off. Graham Murray was a clear second with a 68 nett, but the three points for third, all on 69, was Warwick Howarth, Ray Marsh, Trevor Warrener and Geoff Errey. But Geoff’s 42 on the back nine saw him get third and the three points.

Nearest to the pins went to Warwick Howarth for 1/10, visitor Dave Morrison had the best on 5/14 and Graham Murray’s second shot on 8/17 got him a birdy and the second shot prize on that hole.

The Silver Fox Don McHardie didn’t equal his 12 on number four this week (he had a 9) but Les Taylor wasn’t to be out done and equalled The Fox’s last week score.

One group had a rare thrill on the same hole when a couple of tree kangaroos made their way across the fairway.

In the Club House there were enough to have 6 draws in the raffle and the winners were, Kelvin Groves, Warwick Howarth, Graham Murray, Graham Suffield and Shane Soper won twice.

It was certainly worth Graham Suffield dusting off his clubs as his number 50 also came out in the members draw. So next week, which is sponsored by Graham Suffield and is a best 9 holes STABLEFORD, the members draw goes back to $10.
