On a proposal for rural diversionary facilities for young criminal offenders.

So if there are current programs, why is the youth crime getting so bad people can’t live in peace in their own home or don’t want to leave their homes. Why aren’t they being used?

Susan H Innes

Send them out bush and then they get back to the city blanketed by all the problems that led them into misery and crime in the first place. I hope this isn’t just another round of all talk, no action, give money to your mates for projects and funding. Zane Cosgrove

So many problems and not enough solutions.

Shirley Tognola

Won’t stop crime that’s for sure. Samuel Howell

On a Far North heatwave bound to keep tourists away.

Almost like we’re heading into summer in a couple of months.

Sharni Cason

Some higher being is getting ready with a massive hair dryer, to inflict maximum heat on everyone.

Alan Wilkinson

That’s never happened before, haven’t people paid their taxes to stop this climate change or has our government been pulling the wool over us?

Glenn Burkin

Encourage the tourists on to the Tablelands – the air conditioner of the North. We don’t have the humidity or the heat that Cairns experiences. Plenty of rainforest and cool waterfalls to escape to.

Smylee Blue

Not much use going south. They have been flooded more often than us.

Trevor Chapman

Early days yet! They’re improving every game.

Maja Korver

On the closure of some bank branches in the Cairns CBD.

All those jobs as each bank has done it.

Helen Mpofu

One more step toward one world order, no cash, all card so as they know where you are and what you are spending on.

Graham Anderson

Thought that branch would be newish. But unfortunately people don’t use cash anymore and anybody who does like myself can use ATM or get cash out at Woolworths.

Scottie Travers

There will be plenty more to go too. Cheryl Busey On new e-scooter laws.

I ride mine from Bentley Park to Cairns Central to go to work. Never on the road and always with a helmet on. If you’re responsible with them there is no problem but it seems to be mostly school kids that are using them improperly.

Jack Pearcey

Rein them in before someone is killed, won’t be long. They do 40-50km/h out Trinity way. Darren Marshall

If they ride scooters like they drive in the Far North, the laws should be tougher still.

Peter Feldon

If you have the right, you have the responsibilities that go with those rights. Something the younger ones love to forget.
