Stolen Prado linked to teenager

A STOLEN car has been linked to a teenager’s suspicious disappearance in North Queensland as police reveal new details in the investigation.

Tea Wright-Finger, 19, was last seen in Richmond after being dropped off by a friend at a 4WD on Coalbrook Rd about 3pm on Sunday, October 16.

Police have now revealed the 4WD she had been driving – a blue 2013 Toyota Prado with Queensland registration 210-TLA – was stolen from Proserpine on October 14, a short time before Tea was reported missing.

Inspector Damien Crosby said the vehicle was stolen as a result of being obtained through fraudulent means.

When asked if police believed Tea went missing due to the stolen vehicle, Inspector Crosby said they were not discounting anything.

“Obviously, the fact that the vehicle is stolen is part of an ongoing investigation,” he said. “But I would like to reiterate to Tea or any acquaintance of Tea that our priority remains to locate her.”

He said police still hadn’t been able to locate the stolen vehicle or determine its direction of travel from Richmond.

It comes after a TikTok video surfaced showing Miss Wright-Finger with a bruised and cut-up face as she cries into the camera.

The clip, posted last year, shows a time-lapse of her wounds healing.

“When it’s toxic, it’s toxic,” the caption reads. It is not clear how she suffered the injuries or if they have any connection to her disappearance, but the video paints the picture of a teenager with a traumatic past.

Anyone with information should contact Queensland Police.
