Plans to open luxury experience
EVENT Cinemas is adding the finishing touches to a multimillion dollar refurbishment at Earlville, ahead of a grand reopening later this month.
The cinema complex in Earlville Shopping Town welcomed specialist tradies to the entertainment venue late in September.
After being closed for two months, Earlville’s BCC Cinemas will reopen on December 10.
The $2m modernisation includes a V-Max cinema built around a fresh way to see your favourite movies called Your Cinema Your Way.
In a luxury game-changer for fans of the silver screen the Your Cinema Your Way experience will feature daybeds, recliners and regular seating at the new-look cinema, in line with an offering already available in larger metropolitan centres.
Event Cinemas’ V-Max cinemas feature stadium seating with giant state-of-the-art digital screens and seats with contoured high backs, tables with double the amount of leg room.
In a first for the region in 2017, Event Cinemas opened a multimillion-dollar complex featuring six cinemas, including the largest V-Max theatre at the Smithfield Shopping Centre.
The complex was the first in the Far North to feature 4K Barco projection and Dolby Atmos.
Now Event Cinemas Earlville will be the only cinema complex north of Rockhampton to offer the Your Cinema Your Way experience.
In a promotional email, Event Cinemas said the major upgrade to the complex reflected the extensive new cinema experience, soon to be available.
“The Cairns community now has a greater choice of premium in-cinema experiences,” the email stated.
