Following the Cairns Regional Council’s approval of the development application, The Yards Premium Storage facility in North Cairns has been met with high demand, with more than 70 per cent of lots sold off the plan prior to the commencement of its marketing campaign.

The development fills a gap in the market for inner-city storage, providing a premium storage solution for locals with multiple possessions like cars, boats, caravans and jet skis.

“We are humbled to see such a great response for the development even before we’ve started, and it’s reassuring to know that we’re creating a facility that is very much needed by the community,” says Darren Halpin, The Yards Premium Storage proponent.

The facility provides 24-hour camera surveillance within a secure compound, specifically designed as a premium storage solution. The sheds are concrete construction with electric roller doors, LED lighting, power points and a sink. The majority of sheds also have 6m high internal clearances to allow for optimum flexibility in internal layout and design.

“Covenants and the body corporate structure ensures everything external to the units is managed and maintained for people’s convenience and peace of mind. The Yards Premium Storage lots are generous in size, appropriately priced and first and foremost they are secure. Security is really important to people at the moment,” Darren says.

The facility boasts modern architectural design, tilt slab construction, automatic sliding security gates at entry with pin code and remote-control access, 24-hour security camera surveillance and LED security lighting throughout, wide driveways for access and circulation, on-site parking, shared bathroom facilities, and is fully landscaped and maintained within a body corporate structure.

The units range in size from 40 to 110sq m, and prices start at $139,900.
