ON CHAOS ON THE ROADS OF CAIRNS ON MONDAY MORNING.

I think it’s about time for some advanced driver training … not just being able to park a car and do a written test.

Brett Harding

We were behind a bloke yesterday. He was all over the road. Then we pulled alongside him and saw he was texting.

ON A CAIRNS SUPERMARKET OWNER FORKING OUT $350,000 PER YEAR ON SECURITY.

Unfortunately shops are unable to do anything. They cannot detain the offenders and the offenders know it. Hence they just walk in, steal and walk out. All supermarkets have this issue.

Leanne Parsons

How many fulltime jobs is that costing?

Henry Morgan

The longer authorities allow cost of living expenses to rise, so will the crime rate. It’s almost by design. David Rayner

ON A METEOR LIGHTING UP FAR NORTHERN SKIES ON SATURDAY NIGHT.

It was amazing lit up Tinaroo Sailing Club. A bright orange fireball.

Rikke Bang

The video recordings look spectacular. Would have loved to have seen it.

Terese Ganzer

This was amazingly terrifying to watch fall right before me and my husband’s eyes out in the cane paddocks.

Serai Lui

My partner saw something as I wasn’t looking and she said ‘there is lightning’, I said ‘can’t be there’s stars out’. That answered that for me.

Neil Leah

I thought was just me, walked around trying to work out if was just my eyes.

Chris Jorgensen

We saw it from our front balcony in caravonica, big flash of green followed by a big flash of orange, looked amazing.

Carly Whitton

I saw one about a week ago late evening over El Arish sky.

ON THE TACO BELL RESTAURANT AT CAIRNS DFO CLOSING ITS DOORS.

I went there twice. Both times the food was tasty (for cheap takeaway) and the young staff were excellent. Such a shame they’ve all lost a job

Melissa Harvey

Taco Bell never took off in Sydney but couple of stores still here. Too much opposition from other stores. Larry Songergard I know I’m probably the only one to say this but bring back Sizzler.

Jesse Klaus

Maybe without the self-serve where there were kids digging their fingers into all the food.

ON AN ABORIGINAL ELDER BEING LAID TO REST IN ANOTHER MAN’S GRAVE.

Imagine having to go through the funeral process twice, my heart goes out to them.
