Re: Voice to parliament (CP. 30/5). I believe $39bn a year is already spent on Indigenous people in this country plus they have numerous representative bodies and elected politicians so when is enough or will it never be enough? A big “No” vote from me.

Record breaking May cold is sweeping Australia. Global warming from plant food is to blame. Obviously. Mr Obvious, Earlville

We have a navy and army base in Cairns. I thought that they are employed to keep Australians safe from terrorism. Why are they not helping the police to fight the war on crime on our streets? In most intelligent nations where crime is minimal they do this.

Rex, Edmonton

The CBD has approximately 160 CCTV cameras. How come there is so much crime occurring? Why are the police reactive and not proactive? Is it because the council man the cameras not the police. Are all the cameras manned 24/7? Given the crime in the CBD, the answer is for the police to man the cameras 24/7 and then they can be proactive not reactive.

AI has already been caught making up precedents in legal cases, making up references in science papers, and plagiarising both fiction and nonfiction. That’s not surprising because it was trained by Silicon Valley leftists.

Nerd, Manoora

John Shute, (CP, 29/5), we’re going to get real thirsty next drought with the population rapidly increasing under Albo’s policies if we don’t dam some rivers. Have you even been to Tinaroo? Come and check out the abundant life it supports some time. Steve, Tinaroo

Albo’s getting quite disrespectful to those that wish to vote no for the voice. It’s quite rude, intimidating and childish of him, our supposed leader, the prime minister. He resorts to name calling and guilt tactics. It’s like he thinks no one should have their own thoughts if they don’t align with him. I thought we had a democracy and freedom of speech here in Australia, but apparently not.

KS, Mareeba

There really should be an age limit applied to voters in the upcoming referendum. Perhaps everyone 70 and over should have the privilege of voting taken away as it’s only those younger that will enjoy the benefits of the result.

Atticus, Cairns

The only time politicians tell the truth is when they’re calling other politicians liars.

Wasn’t there a time in Qld when you learned to swim in primary school or am I imagining going to the Tobruk pool when I went to Edge Hill state school with my class?

George, Edge Hill

Does anyone really benefit from taking an Origin game to Adelaide? Jeff, Portsmith
