Dump fees will go up as has every other service because of the Labor Govt’s carbon tax. Don’t blame the council, blame Julia Gillard.

Re pet owner renters. Eighty per cent of asthmatics are allergic to cats and no amount of cleaning and fumigating can eliminate cat dander completely.

In reply to the “hoons force family out” story. As a car enthusiast and small business manager I can understand where both sides of this argument are coming from but, a few points just need to be made public about “hoons”. On the rare occasion that I have been present of a Thursday night the behavior and attitude of 90% of the people attending has been outstanding and often discourage and shun anyone performing illegal or dangerous acts. We don’t want the police involved any more than the rest of the community. Nine times out of ten you’ll find these so-called hoons you portray are well mannered and simply out to talk about cars and meet new people, generally while having a bite to eat from CBD business.

Maverick.

Re hoons. I’ve seen this before at other towns whose CBD became a shopping ghost town overtime. Some closed off their main streets from vehicles to be walking malls and all it did was move hoons in cars to hoodlums on foot and drugs and drinking. The best idea is to redevelop the CBD into shopng centre style adjoined locations/shops etc like Clifford Gardens, mainly all one level. Of course Wagners and Clive Berghofer join forces to make it happen. And it needs majors involved and what’s not seen in Grand Central.

Maybe the council can afford a few hundred dollars from the new budget to repair the pedestrian footpath over Hodgson Creek on Freyling Rd. The safety barriers have been unsafe since the 2011 Jan floods. This is the only crossing available to pedestrians in the area.

Michael you are spot on. We can’t house our own people so no to bringing in more refugees. Govt can’t supply proper medical services, schools etc as it is. Wake up Aust.

CAE, Rville, if spotlight occupied the Baileys site perhaps they may refurbish the facade.

Iso,

tbah When a person is killed on a pedestrian crossing there would be some degree of negligence attributable to the vehicle operator.

It will go down in history as a disgraceful act of political bastardry to send our young men and woman to die for absolutely bugger-all.

In politics it’s called – spin, in the home it’s called lies.

Agree countrygirl. If people dont know the difference between fact and fiction they need to go back to school. Or simply don’t read it. There are other fictions out there that are of the same context.
