Have your say at Agforce Conference

- By AgForce general president Ian Burnett

THIS year’s state conference theme is Production, Partnerships and Profitability – three of the most critical elements of modern agriculture – and will be held in Townsville at Rydges, Southbank, September 17-19.

It will feature keynote speakers including Westpac economist Peter Pontikis and AACo chief operating officer Troy Setter, in addition to addresses from Chinese market experts and representatives of the supermarket and resources sectors.

However, it is the commodity and policy sessions which will probably give you the opportunity to be a direct participant.

These forums give you the opportunity to speak to producers and stakeholders from throughout the supply chain and to make a valuable contribution to policy debate.

It is also a chance to have the latest changes to legislation and policy explained in real language by AgForce policy staff and elected members.

Since AgForce’s inception in 1999, we have said a united voice is a strong one.

By first engaging with each other, listening to our peers and combining our collective force, we can present even more informed policies with more power to the people who make the decisions which influence how we operate our businesses.

I invite you to come to Townsville for the state conference and be part of this important process.
