STAYING OR GOING?

-

Jesse White will not be the only player in demand come the end of the season.

■ BILLY LONGER (BL) A new Lions coach may wish to play both Leuenberger and Longer, but there is talk the emerging ruckman wants to return to Victoria, having played just nine games in two seasons.

■ PATRICK KARNEZIS (BL) The versatile wingman-forward – 21 games in three years – has already informed the Lions he wants to be traded to a Victorian club.

■ CHRIS YARRAN (CARL) While Mick Malthouse is confident of re-signing Eddie Betts, Yarran would hardly be pleased about starting as the sub so often under the new coach.

■ SHAUN HAMPSON (CARL) The big Queenslander has been injured but may remain on the outer, seemingly behind Matt Kreuzer, Robbie Warnock and Levi Casboult in the ruck stocks.

■ DALE THOMAS (COLL) Still yet to sign a new contract and is out for the season with injury, but coach Nathan Buckley is confident Thomas has not played his last game for the Magpies.

■ TOM BELLCHAMBERS (ESS) Has been impressive this season, but may want to be No.1 ruck somewhere else, with Paddy Ryder the Bombers’ main man.

■ SCOTT GUMBLETON (ESS) Knocked back an offer from the Bulldogs last year, but has played just seven games in 2013 for 12 goals. Should be on the move.

■ DUSTIN MARTIN (RICH) Apparently wants to remain a Tiger, but a wealthy one. Has turned down Richmond’s latest offer and reportedly wants $600,000 a year.

■ JACK WATTS (MELB) The much-maligned No.1 draft pick looks like a man who has already made up his mind about leaving. Rival clubs will try to get the best out of him.

■ LANCE FRANKLIN (HAW) Still very much a 50-50 chance when it comes to staying a Hawk or leaving to become a Giant on a multi-million dollar deal.
