Literacy appeal

OFFICEWORKS Toowoomba has joined forces with the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation and local schools to raise funds and support the foundation’s 2013 Wall of Hands Indigenous Literacy Appeal.

Until September 8, the store will be encouraging customers to purchase a hand or make a donation in-store.

These much needed funds will help implement the foundation’s life-changing literacy programs in the remote Northern Territory community of Groote Eylandt.

Locals can purchase a special hand for $2 in-store which is then placed on the store’s own Wall of Hands.
