The warm times are flowing in
WARMER weather is in sight for the Darling Downs.
After the coldest start to the day in three years on Wednesday morning, temperatures have gradually crept up with a minimum of 5.7 degrees yesterday.
The days have also been progressively warmer, recording 18.7 degrees yesterday, after the temperature topped out at 15 on Wednesday.
The weekend will be slightly warmer, with a range of 7 – 19 degrees predicted by the Bureau of Meteorology today, and 7 – 20 degrees expected for tomorrow.
However, there will be some areas of frost on the Darling Downs and Granite Belt.
Dry, westerly winds continued yesterday, with the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service warning residents to be aware of a high fire danger in the Darling Downs, as well as in western Queensland.
Easterly winds moving into the Darling Downs on Monday should drive temperatures up slightly, with more moisture in the air,, and some cloud cover.
