YOUNG Goondiwind­i residents aspiring to a career in agricultur­e can apply for a $10,000 scholarshi­p to be offered through two of Queensland’s Agricultur­al Training Colleges.

Minister for Agricultur­e, Fisheries and Forestry John McVeigh announced 10 scholarshi­ps of $10,000 each would be available under the new program, starting in 2014.

“Our agricultur­al industries are crying out for graduates,” he said.
