LETTERS CONTINUED It pays off

THE foundation for a profitable and respected business is based on quality, price and customer service.

Sadly, for many Australian retailers, they may get one or two of these qualities in place, but miss on the others.

We have all experienced appalling customer service at some stage during our spending years, and yet some retailers continue to employ and engage staff who continually offer poor customer service, and in some cases no customer service.

Quality and price do come at a cost to a business, but one thing that comes for free is sincere, and quality, customer service.

It amuses me that retailers who do not focus on offering quality customer service wonder why their bottom line doesnt improve. Quality customer service attracts quality and loyal customers, as we all want to be valued as a customer parting with hard-earned dollars.

During the past year, I have been working on my garden design and development.

During this time, I have experienced all types of customer service, with some service helping me make the decision not to purchase from that retailer again.

What a delight it was to discover The Springs Garden World in Spring Street, Toowoomba. It is obvious to me that this business prides itself on quality, cost and excellent customer service.

Digging a little further, I discover that this is a family-owned business where the entire staff are focused on the customer’s needs.

Congratulations to all at The Springs Garden World for making me feel like I was the only customer in your store.

You now have a loyal customer ready to support you throughout the years to come.

P.SUTTON, Toowoomba
