Pride motivates Young Clydesdales

- RUGBY LEAGUE

PRIDE will be the major motivating factor when the Toowoomba Clydesdales take on Souths-Logan in the penultimate round of the FOGS Cup Colts Challenge.

Last Sunday’s loss to Burleigh put paid to any finals hopes the Clydesdales had, so finishing off the season well is the best the under-20 squad can hope for from its final two matches.

They take on last-placed Souths-Logan away today and will not want to drop two points against the cellar dwellers.

The Clydesdales finished last season with a winning run even though they couldn’t make the finals, so coach Scott Hart will be keen to see this year’s squad show the same determination.

The Clydesdales could still finish the regular season as high as sixth.

They finish up their season at Clive Berghofer Stadium next Sunday when they take on Tweed Heads as the curtain-raiser to the TRL A-grade grand final.
