1. Cruise for Cancer

YOU’RE invited to cheer on more than 100 Harley-Davidson enthusiast­s and supporters who will rev up in the name of charity tomorrow as part of The Rotary Club of Toowoomba City and Darling Downs Harley Owners Group 12th annual Cruise for Cancer. For more than a decade, the cruise has provided a day of fun, laughter and good company with more than 100 roaring Harleys.

DETAILS The roaring Harleys will depart from Queens Park on Lindsay St in Toowoomba at 9am tomorrow and take to the open road through the Eastern Downs region in the hope of raising more than $20,000 for vital cancer research, education programs and patient support services. 2. Miles of Smiles for Bonnie

THE fundraiser Miles of Smiles for Bonnie for nine-month-old Bonnie McNamara, who suffers from a rare medical condition, will be held in Queens Park tomorrow from 10am. Entertainm­ent will be provided as well as a sausage sizzle, games, giveaways, face painting, a jumping castle and teddy bear competitio­n. Please bring a blanket and chairs.

3. Naturalist Club excursions

THE Toowoomba Field Naturalist Club holds monthly excursions on Sundays to places of interest throughout the region. Tomorrow the club will join with the Stanthorpe Field Naturalist­s to visit the Allora Mountain Reserve. This will be the first time they have visited the site, where the flora has recently been re-surveyed as part of a LandCare Project. There are also a number of Aboriginal artefacts on site, including several scar-trees.

4. Country music stampede

TAKE a drive out to the Goomburra Valley for the Country Music Stampede this weekend.

The official opening of the event will be held at 2pm today. Other entertainm­ent throughout the weekend will include bush poets, country singers and comedians. Sir Ron Look is master of ceremonies for the weekend.

5. John Pyke bush dance

JOHN Pyke was a beloved member of the Toowoomba community and the John Pyke Memorial Charity Bush Dance will be held in his honour tonight. The Band o’ Coots Bush Band was formed by John more than 15 years ago as an outlet for his love of Australian heritage and music.

DETAILS The dance, to honour the anniversar­y of his passing, will be held from 5pm to 9pm at The Salo Centre, St Ursula’s College, for $10 for adults, $5 for children and $25 for a family. Children under five admitted free. For more details, phone 0427 150 377 or email band-o-coots@hotmail.com.

6. Anglican church classical music

IF YOU enjoy classical music, why not spend tomorrow afternoon at St Matthew’s Anglican Church in Drayton for a musical afternoon. Guests will be welcomed to the historic bluestone church by Les Rub playing the organ he built in 1976. Deslie Burton, Gabrielle Tiernan, Michael Sheehan, Phil Poulton and Lucy Sullivan will be performing.

7. Smell flowers at Brindabell­a

COME and smell the flowers at Brindabell­a Gardens for its annual Brindabell­a Magnolia Magic exhibition.

Garden enthusiast­s can see 60 mature magnolia trees in full flower during this month in an establishe­d four acre garden.

8. Motocross series at Echo Valley

THE Monster Energy Mx Nationals is the most competitiv­e motocross series in Australia. The Echo Valley Round 9 will host four classes of riders tomorrow, which will include the Pro Open (450cc riders), Pro Lites (250cc riders), Under 19’s and the 2 Stroke Cup. On the day spectators will be able to not only see sweet racing, they will be able to see and meet some of their favourite racers, including Billy Mackenzie, Luke Styke, Kale Makeham, Todd Waters, Matt Moss, Takeshi Katsuya, Jay Marmont, Lawson Bopping and so many more. Some local riders to cheer on include Jake Hunter, Jayden Lynch, Alex Corbould and Jake Thompson.

DETAILS Racing is from 9am at Echo Valley.. There will be no spectator parking on Echo Valley grounds. Tickets are $30 for adults, $20 for kids and $70 for a family.

9. Exhibition at Culliford Gallery

FOND Memories the exhibition will officially open in Toowoomba today at the Culliford Gallery at 6pm. Works on display were created by Denise Nys and Kev Burns and show a variety of subjects in vibrant colour from their memories of growing up in Australia.

ARE you planning your wedding? Why not head out to the inaugural Downs Club Wedding Showcase tomorrow. Brides and grooms planning their wedding are encouraged to come along and discuss their specific desires and requiremen­ts with the local Toowoomba businesses exhibiting at the event. Many are offering special packages available only to couples who attend the showcase. Businesses exhibiting include Event Illusions, Toowoomba Party Hire, Central Jewellers, Ella Bache and Merivale Cakes. The Downs Club is also available as a wedding venue for couples.

DETAILS The showcase is being held tomorrow at the Downs Club from 10am to 3pm. Entry is $5 per person.
