ADAM Monea will be out to build on his successful return to the Monster Energy Kawasaki team with a strong showing at Echo Valley tomorrow.

Monea will be joined in Toowoomba this weekend by Australia’s leading motocross competitors here to contest the ninth and second-last round of this year’s Monster Energy MX Nationals.

Monea and teammate Jay Marmont are part of Troy Carroll’s Toowoomba-based Kawasaki outfit.

Both riders are in the top-10 of this year’s Pro Ride 450cc series as they eye a finish possibly as high as fifth.

Monea is enjoying his return to Kawasaki for Carroll and is making the most of his opportunities.

“I rode for Troy in 2008 with good success,” Monea said.

“I’ve had some injuries and other issues along the way since, but I’m stoked to get the call to ride for him again this year.

“It’s my first year in the 450 class and it’s been a bit of learning curve.

“But I’ve been up there competing strongly alongside the best riders around and I believe I’ve cemented myself at this level. “I like the Echo Valley track. “I know the circuit well, being based here, and hopefully I can find my groove on Sunday and take another podium finish.”
