JUMP ON BOARD WITH ZUMBA

- Laura Hunt laura.hunt@thechronicle.com.au

TOOWOOMBA’S hottest movers are being urged to party themselves into shape next month.

A 30-day national Women’s Fitness Zumba Challenge aims to get as many new devotees as possible to the popular dance workout.

The city’s Zumba Fitness Fun Toowoomba has jumped on board.

Instructor Emily Swann said the dance-based workout was a fun exercise for men and women of all ages and sizes.

“It doesn’t feel like you’re exercising or pushing yourself,” she said.

“It doesn’t matter how bad a day you’re having, once you go and do a Zumba class, you feel better.”

The challenge is open to men and women of any rhythmic ability.

“We’re giving people the push to commit themselves for at least 30 days,” Emily said.

“If you give it a go a few times and start to get the hang of it, you’ll start to really have fun.

“I was a hopeless dancer to begin with but now I’m up on stage teaching.”

Register for the challenge at www.zumbachallenge.com.au.

Those who sign up have the chance to win a prize pack including a $1000 Westfield voucher and one-on-one consultation with Women’s Fitness personal trainer Libby Babet.
