Road test recipe

- Matt Moran

IT SEEMS celebrity chef Matt Moran has delicious tastes both off and on the road. Having just picked up his new Audi, we caught up with him to talk about his motoring past and present. What was your first car? My first car was a 1985 black Ford Meteor with flared wheels which I ended up selling.

What are you driving now, and what do you love and hate about it?

Currently driving a charcoal Audi RS4 which I love as I picked it up yesterday so it’s brand new!

So far all I know is that it’s insanely fast. It’s a station wagon so can fit all my fruit and veggies.

What car/s did your family have while you were growing up?

Dad had a black XCGT351 Ford Falcon which I loved and he sold it.

What is your greatest frustration on the road?

People that drive and stay in the right-hand lane.

Do you have any preferred driving music?

Depends where I am going. Love rock ’n’ roll one day. However, the next I could be listening to the opera.

If you were to pick anyone in the world to go on a road trip, who would it be?

My son. I was told that when driving with your kids and moving forward your children talk to you more if in the front seat. This happened last weekend on our road trip. What is your dream car? Love an Audi R8 Spider only because I have been lucky enough to drive one a few times.
