Hutchinson delivers top quality
The Northpoint Shopping Centre precinct is a source of pride for the Hutchies Toowoomba team
AS THE crowds of people streamed through the front doors during the Northpoint Shopping Centre opening day, it was clear the centre had been embraced by the large population of north-siders.
The shopping centre, which features large stores such as Coles and Aldi supermarkets, right through to local small businesses, such as Southerden's Florist, will cut out the drive across town that many residents were formerly faced with to do their shopping.
Hutchinson Builders were engaged by Hallmark Property to construct the Northpoint Shopping Centre, Toowoomba.
Located only 3km north of the CBD, the centre boasts Coles and Aldi supermarkets, as well as over 20 specialty stores including a newsagency, post office, florist, food chains and a pharmacy and medical precinct.
Strategically positioned on two main arterial roads, Ruthven and North Sts, the Northpoint Shopping Centre has exposure to over ten thousand homes, including regional areas north of Toowoomba such as Highfields, Meringandan and Crows Nest.
Northpoint Shopping Centre caters to a previously under-serviced catchment area and will be the only fully comprehensive convenience centre in North Toowoomba.
The centre boasts a number of architectural features including basalt stacked stone columns to the main entry, basalt blade shaft entry features complemented with mature trees and generous amounts of landscaping.
The buildings themselves, whether sitting separately or adjoining others, all have different characteristics such as feature brick wall panels and composite aluminium parapet cappings splashed with feature painted walls and signage.
