weeks.

The Dairy Produce Show has been a major part of the RNA’s history, stemming back to the first exhibition in 1876.

It wasn’t until 2011 that the Ice Cream, Gelato and Sorbet Competition was introduced as a stand-alone competition, being the first competition in Australia dedicated to judging the best in sorbets, gelato and ice cream.

In 2013 the Cheese & Dairy Produce Show had more than 300 entries ranging from boutique producers to larger dairy companies entering.

The Dairy Australia Grand Champion Dairy Product of Show in 2013 was taken out by Berry’s Creek Gourmet Cheese with their Rowefords Blue.

This year a new category will be added to the Cheese and Dairy Produce Show – homogenised milk and non-homogenised milk.

The show, established in 2009, has surpassed all expectations, proving in just five short years to be Australia’s premiere food and wine competition.

In 2013 the show attracted more than 2300 entries across eight major competitions.

This year the eight prestigious competitions are made up of the Cheese and Dairy Produce Show, Ice Cream, Gelato and Sorbet Competition, Branded Lamb Competition, Branded Beef Competition, Royal Queensland Wine Show, Sausage King and the exciting re-inclusion of the Chocolate Competition and Beer and Cider Competition.

Entries close on March 28.
