School leaders tour parliament

-

MEMBER for Lockyer Ian Rickuss welcomed school leaders from Lockyer District High School to Parliament recently.

Mr Rickuss said school captains Caitlin Ruthenberg and Matthew Olive, vice captains Rachel Brown and Bodean Shea and Year 12 co-ordinator Mark Bray enjoyed Question Time during a recent sitting.

“The group then joined me for an informal tour of the parliamentary precinct and were keen to see one of Queensland’s premier heritage buildings and view the ornate interior of the rooms at Parliament House,” Mr Rickuss said.

Mr Rickuss said he was delighted to meet the young school leaders interested in the parliamentary process.

“It is always good to catch up with new school leaders as they provide a wonderful insight into issues impacting our youth”.
