Norths women post strong win over Past High

-

NORTHS have boosted their claims for a fourth-straight A1 women’s crown with a 6-1 victory over Past High at Clyde Park at the weekend.

The match was in the balance in the 41st minute when Past High drew level at 1-1 through a penalty corner to Karen Robertson.

But Norths went on an attacking blitz as Dimity Jaeger and Elise Matherson both scored twice to seal an impressive victory.

Meanwhile, Newtown was also a big winner after Hannah Nolan and Lauren Jannusch claimed doubles to beat Rangeville 5-1.

In A1 men’s action, a Tim Rachord hat-trick led Newtown to a 4-3 win over the fast-finishing Hancocks Ipswich while Rangeville drew with Past High 1-1.
