VW runs out new van range
Volkswagen has released three new Runner vans in three models, Caddy, Crafter and Transporter.
The smallest is the Caddy TSI160 five-speed manual that has a load volumeof 3.2cu m and a payload of 770 kg.
It is powered by a 1.2-litre four cylinder inline direct injection petrol engine that has maximum power of 63kW@4800 rpm and maximum torque of 160Nm@ 1500-3500 rpm.
Its combined fuel consumption is rated at6.9 litre/100km and its CO2 emissions at 160 g/km.
Standard feature s include ABS, EBD, Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR), ESP, brake assist and driver and front passenger airbags.
The Caddy also has manual air conditioning, remote central locking, electronic engine immobiliser and daytime running lights.
Other features include RCD210 radio with MP3 compatible CD player and two speakers, AUX-in jack in glove compartment, three spoke steering wheel with height and reach adjustment, height adjustment for front seats with under-seat storage, front power windows with one-touch up/down, heated electrical adjustable exterior mirrors, asymmetric rear wing doors, left-hand side sliding door in load compartment, 15-inch steel wheels with full size spare wheel and Special Edition “Runner” decal.
The Crafter 35 TDI300 is a six-speed manual and has a load volume of 9.0cu m, a payload of 1539 kg, a medium wheelbase of 3665mm and a GVM of 3550kg.
It is powered by a two litre four-cylinder, common rail direct injection turbo diesel engine with a maximum power of 80kW@3500rpm and maximum torque, of 300Nm@ 1500-2250 rpm.
The Crafter also comes with electronic differential lock (EDL), driver and front passenger airbags, remote central locking and electronic engine immobiliser, daytime running lights, cruise control, semi-automatic air conditioning, RSD2000 radio with 4.3-inch LCD screen, SD card input, AUX and USB inputs with two speakers, Bluetooth handsfree phone capability and Bluetooth audio streaming, power steering with safety steering column, height and length of steering wheel adjustable, electrically heated and adjustable door mirrors with integrated side indicator, front power windows with one-touch up/down, rear wing doors with heated windows, 16-inch steel wheels with full size spare wheel, towbar wiring preparation and Special Edition “Runner” decal.
The Transporter TDI250 is a five-speed manual 2.0 litre four-cylinder inline turbo direct injection diesel engine.
It has a load volume of 5.8cu m, a payload of 1278kg and a short wheel base of 3000mm.
