Man shot in chest while out hunting
A MAN with a gunshot wound to the chest is recovering in Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Emergency services were called to a property on Dalrymple Creek Rd just after 8.30 on Saturday night to reports of an accidental shooting.
A 28-year-old Toowoomba man had been shot in the chest, leaving serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
He was with another man from Toowoomba at the time.
He was stabilised and taken by ambulance to Warwick aerodrome and flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.
It is the second accidental shooting in the area in the past two months. An 18-year-old Kooroongarra man shot himself in the arm while pig hunting near Millmerran in late August.
Warwick Criminal Investigation Branch is investigating the incident.
