Architect’s work

AS PART of the Toowoomba Open House program, the next talk at the Toowoomba Historical Society will outline the contributi­on architect William Hodgen made to Toowoomba’s built environmen­t through his design of various schools, residences, and businesses.

The speakers will be Sandra Searston and John Parker, teachers at St Ursula’s College (itself a Hodgen product) who have recently published the book Altering the Face of Toowoomba: A Reflection on the Works of William Hodgen Jnr as part of a school project to which St Ursula students contribute­d.

The meeting will be held tonight at 7.30pm at 49 Lindsay St, Toowoomba. Members of the public are welcome.
