Safe Night Out
TOOWOOMBA is now a safer place to go out after dark after becoming one of Queensland’s 15 Safe Night Out precincts.
The $44.5 million State Government initiative, which was launched last night, is aimed at restoring responsible behaviour and respect, and stamping out alcohol and drug-related.
“Queensland now has Australia’s most comprehensive response to alcohol-fuelled violence and Toowoomba will benefit from it,” Member for Toowoomba North Trevor Watts said.
Police will now be out in force to ensure residents who go out can enjoy a safe night.
