Steps to take

-

I DON’T have a problem with flying foxes because I don’t live in an area where they are prevalent, but I can understand the problems of people who live in an area that flying foxes infest. With any problem that has to be overcome, there are a number of steps that have to be followed. to overcome of the problem. (1) Identify the problem. (2) Work out a solution. (3) Make a recommendation or recommendations.

(4) See that the recommendation is, or recommendations are, carried out.

These four steps can be looked at in the following scenario:

(1) Why are the flying foxes here, and why now?

(2) Why haven’t they always been here? (3) Where did they come from? (4) What caused them to leave their existing habitat and migrate to their new habitat?

(5) What keeps them here now? Is it food or some other attraction?

(6) If it’s food that keeps them here, where is the food supply?

(7) If it’s a food supply then why not eliminate it and there would be nothing to keep them here. If it’s not possible to eliminate the food supply then make it impossible for them to access it.

(8) If it’s not food then what is it that keeps them here?

These are some of the questions that will have to be answered and recommendations made and implemented before the problem can be resolved.
