Peace possible
THE word “peace” has rich connotations of reconciliation, health and unity.
A harmonious region implies that peace means more than just the absence of war. Peace is a deep-rooted personal set of values, attitudes and ways of behaving that promotes mutual understanding and amicable outcomes.
Peace is a spiritual destination of wholeness created by right relationships with oneself, other people, and cultures.
Nelson Mandela once said, “If you want to make peace with your enemy, you have to work with your enemy. Then he becomes your partner.”
Community living is a shared human responsibility based on trust and respect.
Therefore, building bridges of peace to various communities is for those forward-thinking people who can accept change.
Thankfully, we are currently surrounded by a large number of people who possess sufficient economic, cultural and spiritual resources to build peacefully balanced communities. However, achieving this objective remains a daunting contradiction.
