THE WAY WE WERE

CHANGE: Valerie Weise-Young sent in this photo of Oakey’s main street. This photo would have been taken sometime in the 1930s (maybe even in the 1920s) Note the RACQ truck and the Austrian Skoda gun in its original position. It was later moved to the Lions Park then to its current position near the War Memorial in Bicentennial Park. Also of note is the way the parking has changed over the years.
