Aussie champ again
TRIATHLON: Australia’s Mirinda Carfrae has become the fourth person to win the Hawaii ironman three times, charging home in the run leg to beat Switzerland’s Daniele Ryf. The 33-year-old Carfrae, who won in 2010 and again last year, trailed by more than 14 minutes after the 3.8km swim and 180km bike legs, but hit the lead with 5km to go in the 42.2 km run. Germany’s Sebastian Kienle won the men’s race, with Tim Berkel the first Australian to finish in seventh place.
