Record for swimmers

-

SWIMMING: A group of six swimmers from Israel have set a new open-water record, completing a 380km crossing from Cyprus to Israel in 123 hours and 10 minutes. The previous record of 367km was set by a six-man team from the US off the coast of California last year. The Israelis – who ranged in age from 44 to 66 – each spent an hour in the water at a time and had to maintain the same rotation for the record to be recognised.
