In Daytime Squash, Coco Pops (Peter Bradow, Kylie Benson, Debbie Rae & Katie Williams) had a four rubbers to nil win last week keeping them in first place on 46.5 points in the lead up to the semi-finals. They are closely followed by Weetbix (Graeme Howard, Jo Story, Marlene Keogh & Rebecca Tew) on 40 points. Other team results are:- Corn Flakes – 35.5; Special K – 35; Cheerios – 28; All Bran – 28; Fruit Loops – 26; Rice Bubbles – 25.
Individual highlights:- Glenda Davies had a narrow 3-2 (35-30) win against Janell Freer; Andrea Truskinger played well to defeat Jan Ede 3-2 (40-36); Jo Story and Pixie Cusato had a battle with Jo emerging the victor 3-2 (35-33); Olivia Melloy, in a double up match, defeated Rebecca Tew 3-2 with Rebecca scoring more points (35-33); Carole Macdonnell defeated Ruth Howard 3-2 with Ruth scoring more points (35-33) and an extra point for her team as they won on points which shows the importance of striving for every point.
