TENNIS: The future of Australian tennis is bright if the under 18 Easter Gold Cup is anything to go by.

The girls and boys on court were some of the country’s highest ranked competitors, and it wasn’t hard to see why.

Eighth seed Isabella Bozicevic ended up taking the crown for the girls, but it was not an easy match up for the 15 year-old.

Bozicevic came up against a familiar face in the final when she took on her training and doubles partner Roopa Bains.

Knocking out the number one seed early on in the tournament was surely a sign of things to come as Bozicevic came out on top 6-3 6-3 to take home the crown.

The boys final also saw an equally dominant performance as Daniel Birak came away with the win.

The number two seed showed why he was ranked as such by overcoming Josh Piunti 6-1 6-3.
