Thief sneaks into carport

-

THE Collins family say they feel violated after a thief sneaked into their house and made off with an expensive bike.

The cocky thief went into a carport to steal the bike, which the owners said wasn’t visible from the street.

Tanya Collins said the $800 bike was a Christmas present which belonged to her partner John.

“He’s often away from work and only home every second weekend - just for the weekend,” she said.

“He usually takes it to work with him and he rides it for fitness.

“He was devastated when it was stolen.”

The theft took place at their Debra St home in Centenary Heights about 12.30am Monday.

“You wouldn’t have been able to see it from the street as my car blocked it from view, so whoever has stolen it would’ve had to come into the carport around the car to see it,” Ms Collins said.
