-

GOONDIWINDI: Goondiwindi will soon host its own parkrun event each week from June 11.

Brooke Saxby from the Border Rivers Chamber of Commerce, Bec Raymond from the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries and Katie Turner from Rabobank have brought this event into fruition and invite everyone of all abilities to come along and run or stroll every Saturday from 7am.

“This is a wonderful enhancement to our community health and fitness portfolio, encouraging everyone to get outside and be active,” Ms Saxby said.

“Dogs on leads, prams and children are most welcome but under 11s need to be chaperoned by an adult.”

People who want to get involved in the free event must register before parkrun at parkrun.com.au. For more information go to the Goondiwindi parkrun Facebook page.
