KATH Dickson Family Centre’s playgroup children enjoyed a special Teddy Bears’ Picnic adventure in Groom Park, complete with “virtual bus ride” thanks to Stonestreets Coaches.

Playgroup coordinator Robin Craymer said this was the first time that most, if not all, of the children had been on a bus before.

“They got to sit in their own seat, put on their seatbelt and we sang songs as we pretended to travel to our destination – it was great fun.”

The centre is going the extra mile in supporting children’s health in the community and has come on-board for the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation Teddy Bears’ picnic.

Community engagement and events manager Melanie Coultas said she was very pleased to have the centre on board for this year’s event and looked forward to a successful picnic.
