World travel inspires exhibition

-

THE Rosalie Gallery’s new exhibition offers a unique view of traditional, still life, impressionism and sculpture.

The exhibition, entitled A Continental Touch, is by the Sunshine Girls Art Group which includes Suzie Buchanan (Tranter) Ann Caporn, Madeline Herbert, Patricia Poole and Jacqui Seckold.

“The long history of art in Europe with its cultural connections runs deeply, touching a chord in each of us, which ultimately spills on to our canvas, “Mrs Buchanan said.

“Extensive world travel and exposure to different landscapes and lifestyles influence our work.”

The “girls” came together as a group through their mutual love of art.

Mrs Caporn and Mrs Buchanan have both done many workshops with Eumundi artist Don Milner and continue to be inspired by his unique approach to all subject matter.

This very diverse group has presented an eclectic collection of art with a continental touch. Outstanding pieces of art are for sale with something for everyone.

The exhibition was recently opened by Mr Milner and Toowoomba artist Maryika Welter.

Rosalie Gallery, 89 Mocatta St, Goombungee is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 10.30am to 3.30pm.

The exhibition will be on display until June 5.
