The Toowoomba Clydesdales under 20s are finally back at home, well kind of.

The Clydesdales have had a run of away games, not playing in Toowoomba since early April.

They finally have another home game this weekend when they host Burleigh on Sunday.

That game will not be at their home at Gold Park though, with the Clydesdales taking on the Bears at Herb Steinohrt Oval. The Clydesdales 20s made a great start to the season but have gone five games without a win since to sit ninth on the ladder after 10 rounds.

Clydesdales under 20s coach Dean Bosnich hopes a return home could be the catalyst for a change in fortunes.

a tough“We knew stretch,” this Bosnichwould be said of the run of away games. “To not play at home for six weeks is a big ask.

“Some of the road trips have been at Burleigh and Sunshine Coast, our longest away trips. It has been hard.

“We knew it was going to be hard and unfortunately we haven’t been able to come up with some results. “Hopefully being back at home and at a local A grade game will give them a pick up.” The Clydesdales will play before the Valleys versus Oakey Hutchinson Builders TRL Premiership game, giving Roosters product Ryan Horton the chance to play in the FOGS Cup Colts Challenge on his junior club home ground.
