There’s ‘room to improve’
BEYONDBLUE’s policy, research and evaluation leader Dr Stephen Carbone said Australia’s mental health system was making headway, but there was still room for improvement.
"Generally we are becoming more aware; people are more willing to seek help ... We’re sort of making progress but I think there are some groups missing out, falling through the gaps or not quite getting the right care at the right time.
"All things considered, we’re doing okay but certainly a lot of room for improvement," he said.
