A Voice in the Bush evening
GOONDIWINDI: MacIntyre Young Writers 2016 has joined forces with Border Women in Business to create A Voice in the Bush.
Not only is this a celebration of the love and skill of writing, photography and journalism in the bush, it is also a celebration to recognise successful women in the district.
Penelope Arthur recently become the first female editor of Queensland Country Life and is passionate about telling the stories that matter to rural Queenslanders. She is a strong advocate for building businesses in the bush.
Ms Arthur will be joined by Sally Nicol Rigney who is also no stranger to the district being brought up in the Moree region.
She has given a voice to ABC broadcasting and rural journalism for more than 10 years and still makes her mark strongly in the bush as a freelance journalist focused on creating an energetic and vibrant regional community.
A Voice in the Bush will be held on May 26 at the Royal Hotel from 6pm.
